    New lawn

Now I'm confused. I've now got a couple more prices; £1590 and £1565. Does this mean the cheapest guy is going to do sub-standard job?

    New lawn

That makes sense about them bringing in more soil - thanks. I want to pay what is right for the job, I would hate to think I'm being ripped off.

    New lawn

I've just got a price to remove our lawn and replace with a new one, it's 115 square meters apparently. They're going to; Remove our old turf Rotivate, adding a bit of soil (for some reason) and compost And lay quality turf They want £1300 all in. Does this sound right?

The patio will be about 25 sqm, do you think me an a mate will be able to dig it out in a day? It's only a short run round the side of the house to the skip at the front. Thank you.

    New patio and new lawn

I'm going to lay a new patio and at the same time replace our existing lawn (which is 90% weeds). I've used a micro digger in the past and thought I'd get one in to dig the footings for the patio. Surely I could scrape the lawn up with the digger, if I'm careful, Is this advisable...

    Crazed paint

I removed a border from around the top of the room and painted it about 2 years ago. I rubbed down the glue that was left from the border before painting, however, now the paint has crazed just where the glue was. What should I do? Many thanks.

    Canon I6500

I know this is a long shot. I've had this A3 printer for about 10 years and it has been brilliant. However, I've gone to print to it today, and nothing. The light on it is usually green constantly, and sometimes orange when there's a paper jam. Today the orange light flashes 7 times...

    Sanity check

After receiving all of your valuable comments, I've decided against the wc. I'm so glad I put the post on, I think I've saved myself a lot of time, money and bother. Thanks to everyone.

    Sanity check

It is for both reasons; to use when in the Lounge, and for use from the bedroom. The en-suite idea is good, but I would have to break through the load bearing wall between bedroom and lounge, then lose space from the lounge. After getting everyone's feedback, I'm starting to have second...

    Sanity check

Thanks for your post dan09, I very much appreciate your help. The door I was looking at is Oak, with frosted panels. I haven't seen it yet but I'm quietly confident about that. If I go ahead with this wc I know what will happen in this house; the door will remain open at all times, and if...

    Sanity check

Good idea, but I had some really nice large glass/oak doors fitted on the Lounge a couple of years ago, and wouldn't want to mess them around. Thanks anyway.

    Sanity check

I'm about to incorporate a small wc on the 1st floor of my house. The door opening is already there as, although the plan shows 1 bedroom, it used to be 2. I would like to make the new wc as small as possible but I think the smallest it can be is 900 x 1100. Or maybe you have a better idea...
