Managed to sort it in the end, it was a wiring fault. It was wired to the wrong zone, which is probably why it went off when I moved in front of it; the kitchen PIR saw me. Only realised when I tripped the tamper and it said kitchen PIR and not Glass break.

A friend gave me a Honeywell flexguard break glass detector, the one with the tamper (FG-1625T). It is installed in my home directly opposite a window, roughly 2.5 metres away. Now the problem... IT WON'T STOP ACTIVATING! :evil: :evil: :evil: The sensitivity is turned all the way down...

Its always better to run all the cables first and then connect up, however if that doesn't fit you... And just a tip, disable the speaker in the panel, it will give away its location to any potential thief if they broke in.

They're crap and as much use as a chocolate kettle. Little noise during alarm and no tamper.

Its a Dual-tech+PIR and a PIR in the same unit, used to signal confirmed alarms. Both detectors don't overlap, required by DD243. WAY overkill for a standard house, they're ugly, and they're MASSIVE compared to a normal PIR. Why do you want one anyway??
