baxi 105e - hot water issue

So new expansion vessel fitted, he did it without taking the boiler off the wall. The new vessel was fitted in less than two hours and all for £130 all in. Gave him a christmas box to show my appreciation and so all is well with the world.. Merry Christmas Al

    Baxi 80e & 105e

I have a 105e and had a similar problem. In my case the hot water took a long time to come through...turned out to be the domestic diaphragm. I ordered a kit replacement off the internet...took a couple of days... The instruction booklet is very informative on how to replace the diaphram...

baxi 105e - hot water issue

Ok all went according to plan. I must say the details which are provided by Baxi for installation, servicing and replacing parts is great. Water back to normal, more likely to have been a sticking needle on the device rather than a faulty diaphram. anyway job done.! thanks for your help on...

baxi 105e - hot water issue

Strange problem - Whilst hot water is available on most taps in the house, one of them seems not to fire the boiler up consistantly. The tap is furthest from the boiler, not as the crow flies but due to walls etc has the longest pipe run. The boiler is 9 years old and has always worked without...

Hard drive about to die I think

Never said there was anything wrong with a clean install, just that there were other ways, if you don't have a closed mind, to do things. Weigh up the pro's and cons and then make a decision. this is my last post on this thread as having you constantly on my back because I make, I think...

Hard drive about to die I think

can't disagree that getting a new system would be nice...but if you are on a budget then putting in a new HDD can cost quite a small sum (depending on size..) I paid £35 for a 160gb laptop drive a couple of days ago for a friend's computer) and £60 for 1 1TB drive for a desktop. The memory is...

Hard drive about to die I think

I would be inclined to wait until you have it back up and running before putting in more memory. Then you can check it out at Crucial. There are many kinds of memory and a limit as to what you can put into the system...My old laptop for instance has 2 x 512mb modules but can only go up to 2 x...

Removal Of Scratches On Window Glass ?

Even after being 'fixed' car windscreens sometimes still show a mark. The main reason given is that the resin stops the windscreen from cracking rather than to fix it cosmetically. That said it does seem to get rid of most of the mark. I had a scratch on one of my windows and a guy fixed it...

Hard drive about to die I think

As coljack and I have suggested the same thing I do not thing its silly at all....in my years of fixing PC's I've used this method many times and its never failed. The trick is to make sure you get the files which may be causing a problem restored first. Even if you don't you can always fix them...
