    Disputes

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has some advice or guidance for some issues which are causing some serious stress for us! We have got permission for a loft extension and since that date the our previously good neighbours have just become so difficult with us. We went to the expense of a party...

    Party wall

I've been reading up and looking through several templates. I'm going to serve my notice next week. I am waiting on final plans to be submitted to building control. My neighbour objected to my planning which is fine but it was passed as these were not valid. I fully expect them to dispute. I...

    Simple TV etc question

I've had ours above fireplace for aproximity 2 years. I've not noticed any neck back pain. Viewing is fine as angled down. Each to their own on that one guess.

    Simple TV etc question

I've done something similar but didn't want the hassle of deep channels. I was able to go through side of breast at an angle. This meant I ran cables down the side out of general view. Get a hdmi switch. You only need one hdmi cable. It could be worth running an rj45 through as well.

Stuck mixer tap on the bath

I can get those from screwfix. Do they come in a standard size? I assume I unscrew it and slide over the top? I've not replaced one before

Stuck mixer tap on the bath

Hi I wonder if someone could give me some advice please? I have this mixer tap on my bathroom which is almost impossible to lift up now. The center used to lift with ease but now it feels welded down. I unscrewed it and found a piece of broken rubber which looked like a seal of sorts. I...

    Slab will not stick down

It was a wetter mix and I did wet the back of the tile. I've been told to use a latex adhesive on the back of the slab. I've only used that for putting up tiles on the wall

    Slab will not stick down

Hi, I've laid 47 sqm of patio and I've had a few which needed relaying. THe others are solid as a rock. I laid them on to compacted hardcore using 6 to 1 mix. However for reasons which defeat me I have laid this tile 6 times and not once has it even remotely stuck down. I've tried 2...

    Lifting sandstone paving

I am not a pro! However I had to lift a few for my sins. I used a small angle grinder to cut between the morter joins. I then titled the blade slightly to go in at an angle under the slab. This was just enough to put in a SDS wide drill bit. I set it on low speed and hammer action. It...

    galaxy g2-12

Hi, I've got to reroute 2 cables which run through a cupboard into the loft. I'm reviving the cupboard so the new route will be through the floor boards. I can't remember which fuse to remove before cutting the cable. I think it's the to one. It will be in engineer mode. The cables go to the...

    leaking elbows

I had some gutters fitted but I've noticed it drips out of the top of the bottom elbow. I think this is caused by the way the pipes join. I'm thinking of taking it apart and putting silicone inside. I think this would stop water coming out. Would this be right or is it missing something...

    honeywell galaxy 2-20 flashing stars

I am not sure this is any help but I had a similar problem. I removed the main fuse to the power and disconnect battery backup. I then pulled the cable to the back of the keypad panel. Then fired it all back up and it worked a treat. It was some time ago so its possible I missed a step...

local water authority and moving an inspection chamber...

i've recently had a build over and its now all signed off by building control. My neighbour got a bit miffed about noise and complained to the council about lots of things including sewers. Its not worth the risk in the long run. Spend the money and get it done right it will save you a...

    is this roof right?

Ah not being a roofer i was not sure. Am i right in assuming that under the tile there is more flashing which stops the water. We have had some very heavy rain and there is no sign of leaks

    What is RSS software?

thank you very much! How do you check the firmware version? If it is out of date is it something that can be flashed fairly easily?

    What is RSS software?

Hi I know this is an OLD thread but since you have already done I thought I would ask. Is this module easier to install? Is it a case of plugging in power? I'm not a pro on the alarm but have the G2-12. I've been told it needs to be on the correct firmware version.

I'm not sure on the latter but you pointed me in right direction. It showed tamper so after some checking it was combo of bent cover and loose wire! All fixed now thank you
