Thanks thats what I would like to do. Seperate RCBO from existing house consumer unit. Or unprotected MCB to an RCD protected unit in the garage. I'm unsure if that configuration is possible on that wylex unit I showed in the link though.

It doesn't have an interconnecting door, but it is attached to the house, the floor with be 150mm below the existing house dpc.

I'm getting a garage floor laid in concrete soon, the size of the garage is 7metre by 8.5 metre, do I require an expansion joint or can this be laid as one slab, I'm unsure as its farily large and wouldn't like any cracks forming at a later date..
