Now when you plug it in all you get are rapid flashes (no pauses) of the door lock light and the four lights next to it marked delay timer, easy iron, extra rince and the spin speed one. Of the remaining lights only the 9h one is flashing. I have tried pressing and holding the reset button...

Does anyone know if a '96 Rover 600 (the one with the Honda 2.1 engine) has the resister in the same place? The blower works on all 4 speeds if you give it a slap under the dash. I think it's more likely to be the motor itself on this one. I've had the glove box out and the motor looks...

Me too! My Whirlpool dishwasher died (no lights or anything) after the mains water supply failed. I've checked that power is getting to the machine and even as far as the circuit board. It must need some kind of reset but I don't how.

Try disconnecting a battery lead overnight. I had a Ford Focus do that and it cured it. I think the electronics in the pump gets confused or perhaps it's to protect the pump in some way.
