Hi Mullberry, Gloss rollers are sponge,you can buy them in any DIY place and they normally come with 2x rollers, handle and paint tray in a pack for about £3 to £4 pounds good luck.

If your going to use Acryic paint as opposed to Oil based I have encountered problems with the Acrylic chipping very easily dependant upon the type of doors construction. i.e what it's made of. As previous posts ,gloss rollers will give you the best finish.
