    UFH issues

When you say turn all the loops off, do you mean using the stats? The drain valve are located at the end of the manifold I assume? I did find a small brass adapter to take a hose in one of the cupboard so I guess I screw it in there? What is the purpose of the brass hex head bolt over each...

    UFH issues

The hall way has worked previously. We have only been moved in a month and i am still getting my head around the system. There are no flow indicators although i am guessing these could be retrofitted to the return manifold? It is very hard to tell if there is flow by feel of pipe temperature as...

    UFH issues

My uponor underfloor heating does not seem to be heating the hallway. Actuator is responding to commands ok and I set the stat high and have left it for 2 days to see if it heats the slab. So far I have nothing. Any ideas of things I can check?

    UHF operation check

The mixing valve in question is fitted to an Uponor system. The mix valve is always full cool and i have never seen it rotate (apart from when the test button is pressed) I note the mix temp is always fairly high and thought perhaps valve might be positioned wrong as it will turn through 360...

    New house hot water woes

So today i was woken up after my night shift by a Cambridge water engineer. He was responding to my enquiry regarding a record of what supply size the house was fitted with. He had no information on that although we have worked out that it is 32 mm to the garage and t'eed off to the house in 25...

    New house hot water woes

Thanks for the responses so far. I am waiting for a further plumber to come and take a look and give me an opinion. In regards to the secondary circuit, the water is controlled from a dual channel Honeywell ST699 programmer. The heating channel is not used as underfloor heating is a separate...

    New house hot water woes

Got some initial feedback on pressure etc. 2.4 bar static, 2 dynamic and 14-16 litres/min. I did think the recirc would act like a rad so have disconnected the pump to test. Other than the fact that it takes about 4 minutes minimum for water to get hot at the furthest bathroom, I actually...

    New house hot water woes

Picture of house so you can see the lack of loft area I also found some pictures that the previous owners left me showing the supply install. The pipe looks a lot thinner at the house end although i could be wrong? They also show the distance from the road.

    New house hot water woes

I will start with a bit of back ground info. We have just moved in to a really nice 5 bed/5 en-suite property which started life as a bungalow with 3 beds on the lower floor. It is set back from the road by around 40 yards and has recently had the roof space converted in to 2 more bedrooms...

Engineered wooden floor over 22mm OSB boards

HI all I am having my loft converted and am at the stage where i need to decide on flooring. The builders have laid 22mm OSB for the flooring and my wife has decided that an engineered wooden floor would look good. My question is should i float it or glue it with something like Sika T55? I...
