Hi- told I need low voltage (down)lights by building control. I want to get LED's, but MR16's with cost of transformers (20 of them), its very expensive. GU10 LED's don't need a driver, so cheaper, and also only 3W each, so does anyone know if low Wattage would be as acceptable as low voltage...

You mean we've managed to work what the Hell some of the actual regulations are ?! At the risk of spoiling it all (!) should the conduit be under the rules of 50mm deep/ earthed metal or plastic? And sorry... but.... As cable mustn't have insulation on, can the K17 insulating layer be tight...

Hi- I need to insulate a garage conversion ceiling void with 100mm rockwool as there's a room above. There's loads of cables running in the voids between joists at different levels etc., so what are the rules for insulating around these? I know they must be avoided to prevent overheating...
