What to pack the back of a staircase with?

Hi guys, I tried packing the back of a staircase with some plasterboard to give a consistent effect with my walls but to be honest it looked naff in that I had 3 joins to blend in with filler and besides it stomached a little. The stomaching issue i can solve by adding 2x2 batons behind and...

O so basically 45 and 90 are just set indicators on the tools i.e. you can infact set the angle anywhere between 0-90 degrees? Likewise what would you recommed from say screwfix that is not too expensive and that would do the job of cutting 150mm skirting

Have an issue with fitting recessed lights, not snug

Rocky thanks for the compliment, everything has been self taught ;) btw everything you see apart from the mains electricity is done by myself. Regarding the single wire, I have junction boxes in place so have a single 1.5 coming off each junction box and into the lighting unit

Have an issue with fitting recessed lights, not snug

Rocky, that is exactly what happened at first. The clips would twist and come out However I managed to stick to a technique where that no longer happened however some of the out of 16, around 4-5 are not as snug as they should be but seem as though they can be easily mended with even a...

rocky the picture works for me. Just go to Kanlux.eu and type Ralf DL220 Btw I have tried Rockys method by doubling the plaster board but no change. Do you think there are any clips out there that could probably fit my light units?

Have an issue with fitting recessed lights, not snug

rocky its a very light unit. The clips are not clips, they are very simple spring type things that you normall get on GU10 lights. Here is a picture http://www.kanlux.eu/photos/produkty/big/04820.jpg

Have an issue with fitting recessed lights, not snug

O i wasnt thinking of sealing around the rim. I was htinking of pulling down the unit a little, sqeeze a small drop of either caulk, or any adhesive and push it back up again i.e. you wipe off any that squeezes out of the rim. So Ideally a drop on each side which needs pushing in

Have an issue with fitting recessed lights, not snug

lol I made sure the GU10 style downlights I got had the quick release thing on them. I have a lighting outlet near me who sells them for £3 including a bulb and give you the option of having them mains powered. Also these units I have i.e. the ones that take the large dual energy savers, they...
