Thanks for the quick reply b-a-s's Second option then - at least there will be a light source for working on the alarm For the sake of asking could the Light be fed from the "Supply" side of the existing FCU but effectually making a direct connection the the ring with no protection other than...

    Skirting Adhesive Help/Advice please...

Quick follow up for the record.... Taking Foxholes suggestion I got hold of a new Gun and some Insta Stick Foam adhesive. Tried a small sample overnight to see how it worked and how much expansion there was – looked good and as mentioned little expansion compared to “Expanding Foam”. Went...

Quick Fused Connection Unit query on a spur....

Quick query please guys... I have a Spur coming off a Ring Main (Junction Box). This supplies a Switched, fused connection Unit which itself supplies a Alarm panel under some stairs. I'm wanting to put a light source (2ft 18W Tube) in there with this Spur being the only real option. Can I tag...

    Skirting Adhesive Help/Advice please...

Thanks again for the input guys – appreciated. Fox – I think I'm leaning towards trying the foam option for the middle/bottom as the skirting is profiled on the back for cable runs but run some grab adhesive (not Gripfill Yellow !) along the top edge to seal/fill there - going to be the more...

    Skirting Adhesive Help/Advice please...

Thanks Fox Does the “Fixing” foam have less expansion properties than other "Expanding" foam or is it pretty generic – might just be wary of it expanding a bit too much and pushing the skirting away as this seems to be pretty flexible. I should perhaps try with a couple of sample pieces so see...

    Skirting Adhesive Help/Advice please...

Hi Guys Many thanks for the input.... I went with Gripfill Yellow after looking at various adhesive related posts on the likes of here – quite a minefield of instant grip stuff out there but maybe the wrong choice ? From memory there is a batch code on the tube but no clear manufacture or...

Fused Spur - location...can it be "hidden"...??

    Another "Replace Microbore" Type post......

Long day, yes - manifolds to be removed ! I could extend the 22mm or just go 15mm where the current 22mm feed/return meets the manifold. I have just one small radiator that may need to stay micro due to access behind fitted cupboards but I would hope that could t-off new 15mm ? MTIA Freddy.

    Another "Replace Microbore" Type post......

Thanks for the input - perhaps I wasn't too clear as thoughts would be to remove all pipework from manifold (it's 22mm to/from manifold) and replace with 15mm. Freddy.

    Euro Cyilnder removal assistance....

Realise this is an old thread I started last year but whilst browsing the forum recently thought I would just at least close the case for the benefit of anybody in the future who comes across it... There was a "Security Housing" surrounding the basic cylinder - quite a hefty two part casting...

    Euro Cyilnder removal assistance....

Thanks for the reply - yup; with, without, jiggled and jiggled some more with no luck. I loosened some of the adjacent fixing screws/bolts to give a little more movement to the actual "lock frame" in case something was just catching but I've struggled to slide it out. As there is really...
