Who can see a building regs application?

Thanks for the comments gents. I reckon I'll work it out with the light weight blocks and cavity. doubt it'll save much room though. Regarding the drawing of the drain I was trying to avoid drawing it all by hand. But I can just draw it over the block plan I suppose.

Who can see a building regs application?

Well I noticed an extension where they are using thermolites on both internal and external walls. I wondered if the cavity can be any smaller as the U value should be a bit better. Also Building control have asked for an indication of where the drains are on the application. I would have liked...

Who can see a building regs application?

I would be interested to find out if a building regs application is public knowledge the way a planning one is. Two reasons for this. Firstly i'd like to compare mine to others regarging material. Second - Id like to know if other people can see mine one. Thanks

    Zero/minimal digging conservatory bases

Hello. I've seen some ads for conservatory bases which seem to use a steel frame and very shallow footings. I wondered if anyone has any knowledege of them. At least one supplies for DIY construction but I wouldnt be suprised if the cost was high. Cheers

Gas pipe and drains problem on a new extension

Thanks for your replies everyone. And for the link. I wonder if the 12 inches can be in any direction? IE if theres limited room but one is lower than the other so its diagonally 12 inches. It would mean digging by hand though I should think.

Gas pipe and drains problem on a new extension

The intention and I would think quickest, easiest and cheapest way was for the drains to go down the side where the gas pipe is? I presume option 2 - (new drains going under the extension) would be the most disruptive?

Gas pipe and drains problem on a new extension

Days before the building inspector comes ive found a problem. We're knocking down an attached side garage and replacing it with an extension. The Architect intended for the drains which run from back to front to be moved to go between the extension and side fence (they currently run uner the...
