The biggest shame is the pipework is actually is quite neat and shows some skill. Shame they couldn’t stretch to decent lagging. Same old story decent lagging costs more that the pipe and no one prices for lagging its just an after thought.
Too late now, but at least run it around the perimeter rather than middle of floor. Not sure id want a hw loop running though there - thats the biggest leaker. Nice to see some quality insulation on that pipework
I personally think any business that provides controlled building services eg. gas,electrical etc should be VAT reg as part of their conditions of registration - a level playing field. Are the VAT savings ever passed on - I doubt it, the same rates are charged
If you are happy with the guy and know his work and reputation then not a problem. Bear in mind if you "supply" the installer can fit and forget and you don't have much recourse if you have any problems.
Any reasonable quality WC seat is going to be £40/45, pay your money take your choice. Sottini has always been fairly pricey, but cheap compared to some. I've fitted a few seats that have been £800+
The gas regs don't say anything about this as I would have though the electrics would be more of a concern.

a WB 42 CDI is good, but is it worth the 40-50% premium over a Vouge..... No. I fit loads of Vogues and loads of WB. If the customer asks for WB then that's what they get, if they don't specify then I quote for a Vogue. No faults or complaints yet after 5 years of fitting them and maintaining...
