    thanks for the info. ive got a few drain off points, but i used just one and it took 30mins to finish draining. I removed the radiator and replaced both valves, fixed it all back together then repressurised and so far so good! cheers guys.

    Ive connected a hosepipe and begain draining from the radiator downstaris closest to the door. The flow isnt that fast really, kinda like a half open tap. How long should it take to completely drain so i can remove a radiator? (its a 4 bedroom house if that helps) Thanks :D

    okay well i think i need to drain everything then remove the whole towel rail. Could you tell me how to connect to a drain off point? step by step just so i dont screw it up! im quite sure i know what you mean, but want to be 100%. Thanks a lot for the help.

    that was fast! could you explain a bit more? what do i have to look for. basically i want to replace the push fittings with compression ones, and make sure they are bone dry... then connect up the towel rail and make sure thats all sorted too. obviously the two pipes (to and from the radiator)...
