Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

I tried to remove Safety Valve, but it does not want to move. I'm wary of using too much force in case something breaks off. Any suggestions on removing stuck/corroded nut/screw fitting ?? .

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

I've just bought the Vokera 4250 valve, it's a screw fit. My boiler is Vokera Excell 80SP 4709416. Only manual on Vokera website is for next variant Vokera Excell 80SP 4709417, which uses push-fit valve. That's why I thought mine may use push-fit as this manual says to loosen grub screw &...

Where is the grub screw on the Safety Valve, can't see it ??

I thought 2 valves just isolated main CH system, thought you could repressurise like that. Opened valves, all's ok.

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

Guess what, the Safety Valve is dripping !! TBH I have occasionally found small amount of water under safety valve area (1/4 of a cup) occasionally in past & wondered why CH pressure was dropping. Although I never saw it dripping in past. Is there anything I can do to get it...

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

I've tried repressurising boiler, but pressure on pressure gauge is not rising. (Both CH flow & return valves under boiler are closed.) Any ideas why ?

Thanks guys. Sorry to be picky about checking things, as you see how easy it is to read things wrong way.

Yes, I mean nut. Just surprised that's good enough to seal moving part with mains pressure inside unit, must be tight fit.

I mean the nut. Of course I'm going to clean & lube it.

I will also change the DHW Stuffing Nut, as I have leak/weep from this. I assume you just replace nut (which has bit of silicone grease inside) & push DHW diaphragm pin through (??). Nothing more. Just wondering as I think there is mains pressure on other side inside valve, so surprised...

Which side of DHW diaphragm faces out, can't see on that picture ??

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

Just changing the DHW Diaphragm, just want to check something. Took off old diaphragm, didn't notice which way round it was, as got distracted checking if it had a hole The bowl of the diaphragm faces the plastic plate with pin, doesn't it ?? The plastic plate sits in that bowl, doesn't...

Are you talking about the plastic cap or the whole metal bottle ??
  15. J

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

Do you mean just remove plastic cap of Auto Air Vent Bottle, or more ?? I have seen drip of water coming out of that cap (which has a hole) occasionally previously, hope that is not another problem !!

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

Is that spelt right "aoto" ? Any idea where air vent is on this boiler (Vokera Excell 80SP) ?? How else do you relieve pressure (oher than prv), just undo parts or some other place ?? Thanks

I've got one of those connected already. Just checking if there's anything else I need to do (eg. venting boiler or radiators). .

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

I'm definitely going to do the diaphragms now (after changing corroded flow switch). Checking further I see that when I still don't get hot water, the DHW microswitch just needs a tiny final push to start pump & fire-up boiler. Need to sort out the DHW diaphragm, so pin moves efficiently...

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

Fair enough. I'm trying to avoid taking things apart & changing things might which cause other problems. eg. when I switched off DHW cold water inlet valve, the valve started to leak/weep. Just trying to work out what is going on, as I can see fulcrum arm has moved, both microswitches...
