I have seen drip of water coming out of that cap (which has a hole) occasionally previously, hope that is not another problem !!

Are you talking about the plastic cap or the whole metal bottle ??no need to remove it just slacken it

What are you on about. Do you see a hole in the diaphragm? Are you not going to clean the spindle and lube it?& push DHW diaphragm pin through

just remove and re-fit mate. as danny says, clean the s***te off the pin too.

Just surprised that's good enough to seal moving part with mains pressure inside unit, must be tight fit.
