    Removing Wireless Stat receiver

Hi just gone to do this but noticed that there is also a single wire going from the stat receiver to the heating valve. I could disconnect it but assume I need to provide power to it. Can anyone advise?

    Removing Wireless Stat receiver

Thanks for this. Because it's a danfoss wireless receiver these four wires are the only ones present. The stat in the hallway is wireless and connects to it. I had a feeling just removing the four wires wouldn't be enough. I will put a link wire between 1 & 3 then. Thank for guiding me

HELP .. in need of some on the job experience of electrics

So when someone starts a job the first day and needs to learn about the company, it's procedures, what their job entails and gain experience - improve knowledge they shouldn't be paid anything then? The poor guy won't get paid for a couple of years then will he, just work for the charity of...

    My useless 24i boiler

Then the industry has a huge problem and needs to be revised in a big way. Ey? A job takes as long as it takes and if they don't do it properly the threat of potential inspection would surely help. The punishment should be loss of qualification pending re-examination. I'm not talking...

    My useless 24i boiler

It's all well and good saying because it was likely cheap then the job is a bodge but most the time these people are just as qualified as yourself. what the country needs is people doing more inspections of others work and the inspectors need to know what they're talking about. In a proper...

service fuse query with western power

ok mate thanks for your advice. I will need to talk to them anyway because the cables coming from the meter to the CU look well dodgy and I have purchased some 25mm meter tails to replace. So hopefully they'll fit the isolator and change the tails.

service fuse query with western power

I'm having a new CU fitted and rang western power to find out about having the service fuse pulled and they apparently now just come and fit an isolator instead which makes sense. They couldn't give me a price until I book it which sounds odd so I was wondering if anyone knows the cost of...

    Central heating wiring

so instead of having the pump wired into the pump section on the wiring centre where do i connect the wires with regards to my first image? (just in the L N and E of the actual boiler section so two cables in each terminal?) Interesting idea and something i didn't think of

    Central heating wiring

Ok, the pump is already connected to the pump terminals in the wiring centre. LNE. I'll look at remaking link 6 and removing the boiler pump live. I'm also going to take a look at electronicsuk's post as that seems very clever too. Thanks guys for your help, time to play with it i guess :)

So if five connections should be used (They are I've checked the connections) then do I just need to rejoin link 6 on the honeywell board to stop the pump constantly running?

    Ideal Icos he18

My wiring centre is wired with switched lives as per the diagram below Shouldn't it just be LNE connections? I've taken a look at the boiler manual http://www.idealboilers.com/docs/pdf/icos_he_manual.pdf page 24 and it does have room for 5 wires but i don't know why. Whoever...
