Just had gas guy around did a service and said no point replacing working parts ! . he said it sounds like a bearing but it could last month's if not years . is this bad advice ? Surely prevention is better than cure

Hi again changed the diaphragm , its wasn't broken but it was all stuck up with limescale type stuff . I gave it a good wash out and now it seems to be fixed thanks guys :-) . should I be expecting that gunge to brake the boiler somewhere else ?

What's the venturi ? . I'm sure I could check the diaphragm as its not a gas part (will grahams sell a new diaphragm ? )

Hi my baxi 105e is going a bit weird the water only heats when the tap is turned on full , any ideas ?

It is coming from the boiler and doesn't happen after hot water been on . I phoned baxi and they told me if your gas safe guy says its OK believe him .

Hi I've got a baxi 105e , everything seems to be working well , only problem is it has a funny buzz that lasts for 3 seconds , this noise happens 22 seconds after the fan has stopped . it sounds like a solenoid any ideas what's about to brake ?

That's what my dad says lol. He also says old boilers are like old cars easier to fix (he's never fixed a boiler lol)

The old boiler is a bit noisier than it used to be but still works , I live in Durham my boiler guy is going to service it next month

Hi my combi has started making a whistling noise after you turn the hot water off and the boiler converts back to heating ( it only lasts for a few seconds ) . my service guy is due at the end of Jan , should I get him faster could it be dangerous ?
