4 months ago I replaced the diverter valve on my Vaillant Eco Plus 830 combie boiler. This fixed the problem: no hot water. Now the problem has returned. I have contacted the supplier but need to sort this out asap. Any ideas? Thanks Andrew

Thanks for the replies. The beads are between 4 and 7mm The replacement air bricks are plastic, mortared in. I think there is a gradual trickle rather than a deluge. I've bought a borescope. Perhaps that will shed more light on it. I'll check if there are any underfloor vent bricks too.

I'm posting this on behalf of a neighbour. They had cavity wall insulation beads removed when they moved in last year. Not sure why. The company inserted some air bricks but beads are still leaking out. They don't want to get them back because they don't trust them. Presumably, the air bricks...

Yes. I installed the boiler according to the instruction manual. CH works fine. HW is only reliable when CH is on.

I am the installer. I am not a professional but have installed several CH systems and maintained them for 30 years. I will understand if the experts here might not want to help me though. This boiler was installed in December but has had a hot water problem from the outset. Thanks
