Hi thanks for the quick response, yes I am considering polycarbonate... I am not sure I understand your explanation and how the glass/polycarboanate can be fitted with the felted roof. Can you show me a picture or diagram where your idea is depicted?

    Waching machine motor

Hi I checked and the motors are not that cheap on ebay but my local waching machine second hand spares supplier should have one for a reasonable price if needed. Besides you reach a point where you start thinking it is not worth spending £20 here and there to make an old machine working only to...

    Waching machine motor

Good morning. I ordered new brushes in a desesperate move but they are only £5.65 on ebay so not a great loss. Waching machine motor

I noticed that the brushes are slightly scratched where they contact the armour and are not shiny as they should be. Perhaps grit went into the motor during the leak and scratched them. is it worth trying to polish them back to their original condition?

    Waching machine motor

Yes the motor is now mounted, i turn the waching machine on with the belt on and the mottor attempts to move the drum but a few seconds later it stops and the dial starts turning. Without the belt on the motor spins very fast for a few seconds and then it stops.
