Hole is already drilled, as was previously here. I wanted to put the exterior socket higher up than the existing hole so it's away from splashing water off of the floor. The floodlight will go next to the other lamp on the wall Ta

So, as I'm gonna do this now, going back to my original post : I have a double socket inside the back room which has a plug and cable that leads through the wall to power the exterior garden lights via a transformer. Can I cut the cable outside and feed it in as a power supply to an exterior...

My fault, you're right. The MAIN MCB switches off literally everything. The Shower MCB switches off the Oven And then the Upstairs Downstairs Kitchen sockets are controlled by the respectively marked MCBs

What could happen? It won't trip a lower ampage because it's rated 40A?

    MCB's yeah, that's what I meant ;). So it's not burnt/overheating right? Looks ok?

Looks like the earth comes out of the Consumer Unit and goes into a little connector strip, then comes back to the big cable, is that the PILC? See attached. The switch saying shower is the actually the switch for the Oven! It looks to me like it's had a sticker on it and then there's some...

No, don't think I have an electric shower. There's certainly no box in the bathroom or anywhere else in the house that I know of. Shower is a Mira that is provided water straight from the Combi boiler.

Shoddy work, I'm not surprised. I've come across some right dodgy workmanship from the guy we bought the house from in the 12 years we've lived here. In fact hang on, I'll just go and do a photo of the rest of the power supply... There are 5 downlighters in the bathroom, I assume that's what...

Is it just a case of filling the holes with blanking plugs? And what about the rcd? Can I just use on of these on the socket? https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-rcd-adaptor/63731?_requestid=671942 Thanks

The RCD is the tripswitch on the fuse board right or a separate item?

Hi I have a double socket inside the back room which has a plug and cable that leads through the wall to power the exterior garden lights via a transformer. Can I cut the cable outside and feed it in as a power supply to an exterior double socket if I attach one on the exterior wall? I'm...

Boiler pressure not dropping back to 1.2bar

Just gonna throw this out there, could it have been an air lock? I just went and opened the Bathroom rad bleed valve (the highest point in the system and always the rad that will hold air) and more than expected air come out! I did bleed all the rads after repressurising the system when I did...

Boiler pressure not dropping back to 1.2bar

When you say Pre charge pressure what's that, the pressure it's at now when cold? I pumped all the water out of the Ev and then pumped it to 0.8bar if I remember correctly. It a Halstead Ace High boiler

Boiler pressure not dropping back to 1.2bar

I already released some water from a rad, taking the pressure when cold back down to 1.3 but it's still returning to 1.5. Might have to drain and check the EV again, as you say.

Boiler pressure not dropping back to 1.2bar

No it doesn't, I don't think the inlet is valve is partially open.
