    Drawings?

Search Google for 'Buuilding Control drawings' for people that do them. Also try Yellow Pages. I paid £475 for mine, but one firm quoted me £2000.

    Silverline Tools?

I bought Silverline site lighting tripod (500w x 2) and its been OK. It is starting to look a bit sorry for itself now as its been knocked over a few times causing bits to fall off etc, but is still fit for purpose, if a little flimsy, but then it cost £20. On the other hand I bought some...

best place to buy epdm rubber roof supplies

I used 'Diy-EPDM' on the internet. Suited my needs and price was competetive. When I opened my box containing the adhesives, The 10 litre waterbased adhesive tub had popped (probably due to courier being over enthusiastic) covering remaining contents with glue. Called Diy-EPDM and they...

    EPDM Adhesive

Hi there Ive just done an EPDM rubber roof on the flat part of my extension, about 45 m2. The waterbased stuff was for the flat part, you roller it on then lay the rubber over it where gravity holds it there until the waterbased glue dries. I used the contact adhesive on the upstands...

    Roof valley lead

Hi all When doing a valley in lead, does it have to be any specific width? Also, is there a specific amount that the tile overlaps the lead or sufficiently to be watertight? Thanks in advance

    Suggested router bit for this?

Thanks for that. I think the Trend one is a slightly smaller version of what I need. Same shape tho' Now some of these bits are saying fixed head router recommended, but surely I should be ok with a normal router if I take it easy? Mines got variable speed so I won't go mad.

    Suggested router bit for this?

Thanks for the replies. I have a 1/2 inch router and it is not skirting board. It is trim board that goes up the side of the house that you put fibre cement soffit board onto then tile. I am doing an extension, self build. This is just one very small part of. The house is only 10...

Bonnet tiles - acceptable or bodge?

OK. Correct me if I am wrong but shouldnt the bonnet tile be at such an angle that its edges where it meets the tile either side are vertical. Or do you fit the bonnet to the pitch then cut the tile that butts up against each side to the resultant angle?

Bonnet tiles - acceptable or bodge?

Many thanks for the replies. Im doing the roof myself so I am grateful for the guidance. These tiles are clearly not compatible with the pitch so Im go to go for ridge tiles instead. I was just hoping to use the bonnets as I like the look of them, but such is life!

Bonnet tiles - acceptable or bodge?

Hi there I am retiling the roof of my new extention and have bought some new hip tiles, however they seem to be the wrong shape/pitch for my roof. This is how they are looking when fitted: http://media.diynot.com/101000_100928_71237_93806612_thumb.jpg...
