How to Fill in this hole prior to plasterer coming

Thanks These are the only photo's I have until I get back from work later. All the walls are fairly solid except the bit around the extractor hole - this will be covered anyway with cooker splashback. There are some ropey area's but will take some pics later tonight The old serving...

How to Fill in this hole prior to plasterer coming

Thanks. I haven't had any plasterers around at all yet and the walls are pretty much like this for the whole room (small kitchen). Is that a problem do you think? I was hoping the rough bits could be 'patched' (my word) over, then skimmed by a plasterer

How to Fill in this hole prior to plasterer coming

Hi What would be the best way of filling in this cooker extraction fan hole so it makes it easier for the plasterer? Its single brick - cavity - single brick. The cable you see is dead, which is just as well for the person who drilled it originally! I will be removing this as well...

Is this dangerous? - Cables in my hot water tank area?

Hi Im looking around the cupboard where my hot water tank is and have found some dodgy looking cables joined together. They are in an awkward location out of sight. Two cables go into a 'connector' from somewhere downstairs (boiler / CU ?) and one cable looks as if it goes into a control...

Replacing sink/taps/units - need to cap off supply

Hi Im about to replace my kitchen sink/units etc and will be turning off water supply. The taps are connected to standard 15mm copper piping via flexible hoses. Is there anything that I can 'cap off' the copper pipes while I work so I can restore the supply? Or is it easier to fit a...

Is a 3core 6amp cable ok to feed a cooker hood?

Hi Im jiggling around my cooker hood and need a couple of feet of extra cable. I have a drum of "3 Core 6 amp" cable that states "For extension leads & domestic appliances up to 1440 watts". It looks pretty much identical to the cable that was already there so is it okay to use...

Fixing Metal Trunking/Channel to brick wall

Ah thanks. I think I will just leave for the plasterer to fill it in with whatever they use to fill these in. The cable actually feeds a double socket just out of sight directly above.
