Sorted!!! :D ...yes, Viessmann are in the wrong...I too contacted them and tech support told me they have known about the mistake in install instructions...have known about it for several months apparently and are supposed to be providing a revised sheet with installation manual...didn't...

    vent pipe run

Possibly...but i remember someone mentioning that it was done where head height was an issue....as it is in a single storey it may be because of that As a side issue...I'm putting my pump next to the boiler... its going to have plenty of elbows on the run as its going to come down off the top...

    vent pipe run

Having to re-locate expansion/feeder tank as head height is insufficient for new boiler...vent pipe (off which the feeder pipe is teed) currently runs vertically off the flow pipe and up over the tank...will have to cut it down and put a horizontal run on it and then up again to new tank level...

    Gas supply to boiler

NO, not so. I believe it could invalidate the boiler warranty unless it has been fitted by a CORGI man...and the LA have to be informed of the change of boiler by a qualified person.... I just wanted to reduce the amount of work (therefore cost) regarding boiler replacement.

    Gas supply to boiler

Hmmm...have ever come across jobs that have been done well by DIYers? I suppose also the DIYer has to trust the CORGIman's integrity in such situations too.

    Gas supply to boiler

Why...will it be able to sniff out the dodgy joints! :? Seriously...I think I can do it...but i'm going to get a corgi man to fit and commission the boiler and will ask him to check the work out...mainly because you guys are making me nervous about it - thanks for the concerned advice.

    Gas supply to boiler

No...no, believe me. Will be more so with the benefit of your experience...just want a considered opinon on what know what would be the best type of fitting to use.
