My understanding is that any change of use of agricultural land requires planning permission. I wanted to put in a scalpings track on my land, but I got to about page 7 of the planning app and gave up in despair. I would love to be proved wrong however.

No, the engine maintains its revs so I guess it must be down to the belt - greasy or worn. I have a can of degreaser spray - probably some nasty solvent - would it be ok on the drive belt?

Gave it a good jetwash, still none the wiser, so on the basis that there was no other apparent adjustment, I gave the locking nut on the bottom of the actuating lever a couple of turns and bingo! Brakes are working great now. Thank you very much for your help. John

Attached is a picture, the lever on the left moves to the front of the machine (pivoting on the bottom) when the brake is depressed. It doesn't move toward the disc seen on the right of the picture. Maybe I have a missing part?
