Hate to disagree Kingboy, but if it's needing reprogrammed, it won't work at all, not intermittently. More likely a faulty card.

Hopefully not this, but the last 3-4 clutch replacements we have carried out (Renaults & Nissans) have all needed replacement flywheels as well due to heat distortion. Could this be your trouble???

I would think its more likely the EGR *Exhaust gas recirculation valve sticking. Get it sorted ASAP so it doesn't cause any turbo damage!!! Fairly simple repair if it is EGR valve. Don't hang about...you have been warned!

I'll post & concur with the fuel pump or injector scenario, we have done quite a few in our shop, the latest one we failed with as one injector would not play ball. Customer is currently trying to source a 2nd hand engine I believe.
