Dishwasher Trips RCD when we power it off

Hi, We have a 2-3 year old (beko) dishwasher, that trips the power. Seems to happen when its finished cycle, if we open the door and then turn off the power immediately it will trip a lot of the time. If you open the door then count to ten, then power off it's fine. Clearly something wrong...

    PowerFlush of CH

The plan is to replace that piping before the flush, the system needs flushing as far as I can tell. Unless there are other ways to address?

Damn. :-(. Thanks for the heads up, at least I know what we are up against. So is the price about right for a power flush? And replacing rads before is a good idea? Thanks Mark

    PowerFlush of CH

Hi JohnD, When the system gets going the rads heat up fine, hot all over, but some seem to take long while - since the duo valve was replaced though 1 rad in far opposite corner of the house to boiler seems to not get as hot. no air lock, valve and TRV open full so might be sludge/blockage...

    PowerFlush of CH

Hi All. My CH/HW hasn't had much love and attention in the last ~10 years, and we've been putting this right as issues arise. The boiler (Worcester Bosch 19/14 cbi I think) failed a few months ago which was fixed with servicing it, and the duo/zone valve was replaced a month ago to fix the lack...

Loft Joist - white mould - advice please

Erm.. yes. Ref you other points - Your logic is flawless sir - all taken on board. One question - if the lights are allowing warm moist air to pass into the loft - If I enclose the lights and seal off, then the water vapour will condense inside the enclosure over time - is this...

Loft Joist - white mould - advice please

Actually yes - about 6 months ago in the shower room. 5xLED style ceiling lights, designed for zone 1 installs No signs of dampness around the lights form the loft side, but on the shower room side, the lights do have a lot of condensation. I'm suspecting that's a factor... I'm...

Loft Joist - white mould - advice please

Jeds - thanks v much. For ease of fitting - would soffit vents also suffice? This is going to be guesswork but how much ventialtion do I need? House is 9m wide by 7m? so loft floor space 63m2. Are couple of tile vents or 2x4inch soffet vents going to do the job? Obviously 'some' are...

Loft Joist - white mould - advice please

I noticed the following on my loft joists recently, and I think this is a fungal rot of some type. We've been in the house 13 years, and I think this is a recent build up. Only changes are we rewired, added more lagging and boarded half the loft a year ago, and I didn't notice it at the...

    Replacement for Salamander rhp 75

Please can anyone recommend a replacement for the salamander rhp75? Never really liked this pump, noisy beast and first was replaced under warranty after it leaked. This one is now leaking after 4 years and i'd like to replace with something quieter even if more expensive. Used in shower...

    Waste Disposal Unit recommendations

My domestic WDU started leaking last night, it's very old and needs replacing. There's a lot to chose from by doing a quick google wondered if anyway has any models they can recommend. Prices seem to vary from £70 - £250. This is for domestic only, family of 5 so lower end of this scale may be...

Replacement c/h and h/w programmer for a Gloworm Mastermind

Many thanks for the fast response - greatly appreciated. The RWB29 looks good. Just out of interest - I notice there are still mechanical programmers available, is there any difference in reliability between mechanical / digital programmers, or any reason other than personal preference for...

Replacement c/h and h/w programmer for a Gloworm Mastermind

I'm looking for a replacement C/H and H/W timed controller for our Gloworm Mastermind which broke at the weekend. (timing dial does not spin anymore). H/w and c/h still work if constant mode is used. Ideally I'd like something that can be replaced without any additional wiring so we could...
