Many thanks, I didn't know that they existed.
The hot water tank I have is a Herculag 50, 900mm x 450mm, 117 litres. (says on label tested to 1.45 bar).
What sort of money would it cost to replace that with an unvented?
If I had:
A) Thermostatic mixer shower,
B) A pump off the HW tank,
C) Cold off the mains
I'm prob being thick but I can't work out what would be wrong with that. It would be the same as what is there already on the taps, only that there would be a pump on the HW.
I am trying to avoid an elec shower.
There is a cold water tank in the roof which I think feeds the hot. Would I also take a feed off that for the cold?
I live in a bungalow that has terrible hot water pressure.
We don't have a proper shower only a rubber hose connected over taps.
The water flow from it at shower height is 2 to 2.25 litres per minute.
All of the cold is off the mains, there is a hot water cylinder tank and gas boiler...
I have a Siemens RDH10RF and it is fantastic!
Mine is the same set-up as yours - HW is left as it is on a timer at the boiler and the CH is on all the time but controlled by the Siemens RDH10RF.
An electrican fitted mine.
The modern way... according to designers... is to have curtains that are full length to the floor and not shorter than that. They also say to scrap net curtains.
You could have a plain coloured blind and full length curtains, but buy the curtains first.
I need to paint some skirting boards but I have heard somewhere that some white gloss paints go yellow quite quickly.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a very good gloss or silk paint that is readily available from DIY stores at a reasonable price, will stay white, and is easy to use...

I'm guessing you mean 80K. That's about double what I thought it might be. I thought it might be a lot less if there was no need to do the foundations and if I could reuse the roof and tiles.
I have a bungalow 7m x 11m.
None of the internal walls are load bearing.
I am told the existing foundations might support a second story.
How much would you expect it to cost to take the roof off, add a story, and then put the roof back on?
I have been doing some more research and comes across a shower called an Ideal Standard Trevi Boost shower.
There is a version that fits in the wall, and another that is external.
The external version looks like it has pipes at the bottom (shown on the right of the image) - where do those...
