    thieves

Thankfully the choco-cam managed to transmit a better image, literally seconds before it was consumed along with the chocolate

    thieves

Imagine her disappointment when she snuck off to check the spoils of her pickpocketing and found that one of the chocolate bars she had pinched turned out to be a (inedible) mobile phone! lol

    Phone line

What sparky said. Also, there'll be a joint somewhere in the loft space as it's different cable entering the soffit. If you can trace it back to there and run your white cable to that point all the better.

    Phone line

I think you need to strip and reterminate that grey wire - it's a dog dinner the way you've done it and it could be a short in at the neck of the cable, looking at how much bare wire you've got exposed.

    Whaddya Do???

I wouldn't pay it. If you have helped them out before and they've made no effort to pay you back that would be the last time for me. it's possible that the £500 debt is either a ruse to get money off you, or it could even be the result of your previous generosity ie getting credit knowing...

Bosch GLM80 laser reader with no feet or inches

Agreed. If there is a restriction i think it'll be software based. My £60 makita does imperial as well as metric. It doesn't have an inclinometer, but you said it was just for decorating. I chose it over the bosch you have because the laser is easier to see outdoors.

1000V Insulation Resistance Test on incoming phone line???

I think you'd get away with it at least once and the tech would arrange a new port without questioning much as they do fail from time to time. Second time would flag up though. Think 1000v would be more likely to blow off a weak connection on your line and it could be anywhere - in your...

    Police raid home of councillor

I think it's peer pressure and social circle. And when mixed with religion can be a very powerful thing. Like how people kill to join a gang and be accepted, or kill an ex husband because the wife talked them into it. With the religion thing, people can believe there will be good...

Bosch GLM80 laser reader with no feet or inches

The instruction manual just shows metric for this model. You sure it wasn't another model you were looking at (one without the inclinometer?)

neighbours gas pipes run through my house

What a thing to become fixated with. Flats haven't blown up yet, lol. services often run through flats to serve other flats, it's very typical, I would leave it as it is.

    Income Tax

Not exactly. Your income as they see it, will reduce by £500 for tax purposes. Tools have to be required for the current contract, 'nice to have's are not allowed to be deducted as expenses according to HMRC.

    Bathroom fitter nightmare job

Doubt he'll care about losing future work from you. This type don't tend to think past what's for tea tomorrow. I would ignore what the "guild" says. If he hasn't finished the job, I wouldn't pay him. Give him the opportunity to finish it, if not, tell him you'll get someone else in an send...

Think you'll need to get someone to help you.

    British Jewish women trapped

So it doesn't matter if it's true or not, the point you're arguing is just whether that particular article supports that claim or not? It's a strawman, cos JBR's claim wasn't based on that article.

BT Master Socket - which wire?

It's worth a shout, I didn't think of that. It's unlikely unless the property did have 2 lines installed at one point in the past though.

How to install ethernet network in a home?

Behind the plasterboard would be the more professional way. Tacked to the wall will end in divorce lol. Layoutwise it seems ok, but not everything has to be cabled from the loft as your modem will have ports built in that can be patched, so some downstairs points could be ran to there if...

    large notch in joist

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here, but the waste pipe was already installed , just waiting for the trap, and this guy jumps in an notches the joist like that without even checking for it? That's reckless imo and he should pay for remedial work.

BT Master Socket - which wire?

Thought I was pretty clear the wiring was correct it is a home move failure.

BT Master Socket - which wire?

That FAQ just says its nothing to do with them. I've noticed it first hand when working in BT exchanges, some lines have CLI from different exchanges.
