We had a nice compact straight through bottle trap but upon emptying the bath the sink blows it's load all over the bathroom. An anti syphon bottle trap won't fit in the pedestal so I'm left with the option of an anti syphon P or pedestal trap. Will these definately eliminate the blowback...

Thanks for the replies, got annoyed and took a hacksaw to the waste. Was 1/3 full of grout. Seems the basin could manage to get rid of it but the bath had no chance.

Started cutting away now to see the gradient but it's as high as it has ever been so still stumped. :(

I can pour a bucket down the basin waste and it's gone in a flash. I do the same in the bath and it backs up! Could the shallow trap be slowing things down or is this a major issue? Thanks

The bath and sink have always been joined however, new bathroom and I decided to just extend the bath waste to the other end of the bath and the sink is in the same place. When I let the bath water out it'll whoosh down to the sink tee and then after a little geyser from the sink waste...

The shrouds fit perfectly, after the first rubber washer is part of the mixer bar, I left it in for the pic to show how it wasn't going to screw in all the way to the silver threaded piece of the fixing kit. That screwfix bit looks i interesting, might be worth buying and seeing if I can just...
