As BAS says, you can't just replace a cable and leave any fault in situ. It's a false (and dangerous) economy. What size is the cable?

If the supply runs externally it should be in steel wire armoured cable, not t&e.

Good afternoon BAS. Yes I'd checked the 17th out of interest earlier; but the Easycert software I use only runs to the 16th at the moment until the updates come through. In the 17th I think it will be Method 72 or 73 as it's armoured (70 is unarmoured). Regards, Ants

I bow to your greater knowledge on this one Roo and personally I do fit isolators but what do you do if you get to customers house to reconnect the supply or change meter etc. and the sparks has fit a shiny new CU and tails (or even just tails, as is the case here) but no isolator and doesn't...

Bigger and better than me will be along to give advice soon but IMHO: -I'd like confirmation that the supply neutral is not fused but I don't think it will be. (The tails (16.0mm?) look fairly recent, as do the seals, so I'd hope the neutral fuse had been replaced with a permanent connection)...

Yes, sorry my mistake. I believe the caravan supply is TT'd from the main dis board. I'm not actually on the job yet, was just taking a look as I may well be soon and wanted to familiarise myself with the set up. The other info is very useful, thanks. Regards, Ants
