    Also just to add the hot water also stops working, and you have to keep resetting the boiler to get it to fire up for hot water. This problem also started at the same time.

    No, did not remove spout and grease! This may sound silly, but is silicone grease and silicone sealant the same thing? Could i not just remove the spout and put on ptfe tape, would this solve the problem?
