I think the OP is confusing 'boiler' with 'cylinder' as a lot of people do.

You'll probably find debris has got into the pump impellor causing it to vibrate. Ask (tell) them to clean or change the pump. You've probably paid enough :cry:

The primary thermistor will also cause this fault. Overheating.

do you mean the burner light is not coming on at all or that the ch is just not working?

Air pressure switch, flow switches and thermistors.

Give em a call, they'll tell you which way or another. Portsmouth Water are normally very good.

About 2.5 hrs to change the expansion vessel on a CDi (albeit a nasty job) or 1/2 hour if you've plenty of access to the left hand side of the boiler.

The only way to test if its asbestos is to get it tested in a lab. You can't tell by looking (unless its got 'asbestos' written on it :wink: )

So this must be the r/s version of the Solo2 rather than the FF that we're all thinking of. :wink:

I think the OP has the Turbomax Plus with the motorised div valve and not the mechanical one you're refering to.

Ultimates are negative pressure.

Thiis boiler is the same as a Promax. Do a search on those, could be any number of faults. Ignition pcb is a common fault as is electrode, combustion seals, condense trap etc......

You need to check whether the boiler is modulating i.e. the burner pressure is getting lower as the water temp is increasing. This would cause the above fault. Burner pressures need to be checked. But it could be that theres scale in the heat exchanger.

Or you could just turn the mains water off :roll: :wink:

The Worcester 24i is a boiler all on its own. The lower entry boiler before the Cdi. Nothing to do with the Junior.
