Thanks for the reply. I use it for loading fishing line on and off spools. It's best explained if you watch this short video I shot. The drill has speeded up since I filmed this so I'm guessing the speed control on the trigger switch is knackered.

Thanks guys I was confused. It was the SDS Plus and SDS Max bits i'd seen. About to buy my first SDS Rotary Drill after my 20yr old trusty Black & Decker failed to drill a decent hole for a sheild anchor bolt in a house brick. Think i've just about got my head around it all now.

HI wonder if someone can tell me if a standard sds bit will fit into an sds Plus chuck? I know the flutes are longer and I believe there are more of them on a plus bit but will a standard bit fit the plus chuck? Thanks

Notice Wickes sell a 10mtr x 150mm role of code 4 for £40.80. Its just enough to do a small canopy I'm doing. Is this a reasonable amount to pay or is it way over priced? Never bought any before so haven't a clue. Thanks

That's what I thought. He had a small off cut of lead he wanted to sell me and told me, with what I had and his piece I could get all my soakers and steps out of it. Declined his kind offer and told him I'd buy a roll lol. Thanks
