No, that's not correct. The white pipe has compromised the black pipe fitting which is an Air Admittance Valve which should allow air INTO your soil pipe not OUT. That's why your getting the smell from the soil pipe. Get a Plumber in to advise you on how to get over your problem

If your getting bubbles at the pump, then your pulling oil up hopefully. Keep going till you get oil and then try it If you do struggle you might have to get an Engineer out

That switch provides a permanent live to the boiler, it overrides programmer etc Your internal controls will be causing the problem, that switch will keep boiler running 24hrs and only switch off when Boilers reached temperature The idea of the switch is to allow servicing to be done...
