software does not work on Win2000

I have some children's s/w from DK. Its works fine on win95. The s/w is old, and states only 95/98 compatible. I have tried to install it on win2000 and its reports that I do not have enough disk space. It requires about a stated "1,300,000Kb" (!) free. Well the disk has 10Gb free. I'm assuming...

    Aqualisa power shower temperature problem

O yes. Turning on the shower without the pump on, and you can shower completely (say 10 mins), in lovely hot water. Even with the pump powered up, the temperature of the water remains the same. It is not the case that its ok to begin with and then cools. It just cool to start with, and remains...

    carbon monoxide-scary fact

Get a kid.... He came home, sometime back. The local fire and rescue men had been visiting the school. Amongst other things such as feeling a door for heat, crawling on the floor etc. they told of CO and smoke detectors. HE kept on and on at me so I got one.... Now he's on to me EVERY...

A belt sander or a sheet sander?

Update on this. I got the belt sander from screwfix, and it worked a dream. But make sure the bag does not fill up and I wore a mask also, as dust goes everywhere. Recommend it and the belt sheets are cheaper than B&Q on screwfix. Would recommend screwfix also. Three orders placed and...

How do I increase water pressure

OK I did not make myself clear! The 2nd inlet is to increase (double) the rate of flow into the tank. Hence the 2nd overflow pipe is required also. would this work?

Plumbing a dishwasher in a garage. what about the drain?

Not this one. Its the downpipe from the garage and the whole of the back of the house and it drains into the main drain (or as least lifting the nearest manhole cover and it drains into this). Which this is a spur off the big main drain.

How do I increase water pressure

How do I know what the pressure of my mains is? I too have a power shower, having moved house into one that has it. But the shower drains the cold water tank. The shower blur states that it can use 22 litres a minute, and the plumber and my own measurements of the cold water tank reckon its a...

Plumbing a dishwasher in a garage. what about the drain?

I have cold water supply from the cold tank in the house, in the garage already but do not have access to a drain. The only access I have to a "drain" would be run the outlet of the dishwasher into the downpipe of the guttering that comes off the flat roof of the garage. Can I do this or would...

A belt sander or a sheet sander?

Which is better? A belt sander or a sheet sander? Apart from the cost, belts are about £45, and sheet about £15, and replacement belts seems to be cheaper, but a they have a greater area, I assume its swings and roundabouts. Also I’ve used a belt sander, and clearly the belt goes round in a...
