Why Is The Pump On My Water Tank Working Away

Sounds like a boiler mate? 3 pumps? On this system the hot water is always on. The timer on the tank is for the heating. Yes it sounds odd. You can't turn the hot water off and it will fire the boiler any time it needs to heat water. Some models need the hot water storage to be satisfied before...

    Ecotec plus 615 pump

no fault code but the pump is a bit rattly. I heard it when I was in and unplugged every thing and it is definately the pump. Customer has hearing issues which amplifies some noises and the rattling pump is one of them. So I'll need to try and source one tomorrow. Thanks Darren

    Ecotec plus 615 pump

Ah ok, that price is good actually. It's a social housing contract I work on but I like to save the company money where I can(maybe keep myself in a job!!) The house is a new build, well it's 4 years old. So one of the newer ones. I like the vaillant boilers as they seem quite reliable, which...

Ideal isar he24 constant displaying "d"

Yup you definitely need to try turning cold mains off and I'm sure it will after a minute switch to central heating. It's due to the way the isar checks to see if water is running. It is particularly sensitive to dripping taps as opposed to boilers Which use a diaphram and microswitch.

    Ecotec plus 615 pump

Hi all, has anyone tried putting either a grundfos pump or ideal pump head into a Vaillant ecotec plus 615? I have a job to change the pump on one tomorrow but forgot to order the vaillant pump at the merchants(and it is very expensive)

Taping new board to existing artex ceiling

I'll save the saucy ones for another time then haha. Bathroom is really small(which is frustrating as house is a good size!!!) but it's only 2.5x2. We aren't attached to it at all! The only problem is cost, I'm prepared to try and skim 1 and a half walls. I'm not sure how I'd cope with the...

    Vokera compact combi boiler problem

If the internal expansion vessel is still ok there is no need for an external one. If my/our diagnosis is correct there are some obvious tell tale signs that straight away point to breached heat exchanger. I mis diagnosed one when I first qualified but got them right since then as its a...

    Vokera compact combi boiler problem

I would agree that the heat exchanger is breached. I changed one last week for the same problem. Run the hot water and watch the pressure gauge. You'll probably see it drop.

    WB 24i Junior losing pressure...

I'd check the expansion vessel, over the top of the boiler there is a round red expansion vessel. On it there is a valve that looks like a car tyre valve, take the dust cap off and try and let some air out. Just a little bit. It should be air if there is water in it you need a new expansion...

Taping new board to existing artex ceiling

2 walls tiled to ceiling level. One not tiled at all and one only tiled 2 thirds of the way up. The new boards are fitted exactly in the same place as the old ones. Some of the old tape has peeled off when removing the old boards. I should have cut right in to the corner with a Stanley...

Taping new board to existing artex ceiling

Hi all, I am currently renovating the bathroom. It was completely tiled and the tiles weren't coming off so I took all the plasterboard off and put new stuff up. The problem I have is taping the top edge of the board into the ceiling as it is artexed. Some of the old tape came off so...
