Potterton 30HE Fan/Flue fault? (Pic on Page 2)

Sorry for by brief input. Well it does and doesnt. Up until yesterday evening the boiler always came oon and we were getting CH. However yeserday we had an enginer come out who told us that it was the thermister valve that had gone and thats why we were not getting hot water as it wasnt firing...

Potterton 30HE Fan/Flue fault? (Pic on Page 2)

Hey all, Yesterday the boiler stopped providing us with hot water and the heating is minimal with it not getting very hot at all. The pressure when not operating seems to be at the 1 bar mark (recommended 0.5-1.0). The fan/flue neon flashes indicating a fault in that area. There also...

Am i ok to change the MCB for my shower....

Ive not long moved into a new house and the shower in the ensuite (Triton TS80i) every now and again trips after a few minutes. After looking at previous posts it seems to be that my MCB is too small for the shower. Am i right in saying that: 8.5kw > 36.9 amps = 40 amp MCB would be...

    Hansgrohe Bath/Shower Mixer??

[/url] By putting a bar mixer in though wouldnt i need to disturb the tiles? Ideally i want to work as much as i can with the ridges section dont i, can i fit the bar miser onto the top of the ridged section? If i put it on the front of it when you lie back in the bath youll be gitting you...

    Hansgrohe Bath/Shower Mixer??

But the bath and the wall meet perfectly this tiled section is just like a little extra, seems strange. But i see the logic. I have a combi boiler so thats a good start. Tee? It sounds like a plan and doesnt seem that hard. 1. Will taking a feed off the existing taps be a hard job and...

    Hansgrohe Bath/Shower Mixer??

I wouldnt have a clue what you mean :D I looked last time i visited though and at the end of the bath that you cant see on the above pic the wall is fully tiled. It also has a ridge that sticks out from the wall and meets the bath (as per below pic). Could it be that when the conversion was...

    Hansgrohe Bath/Shower Mixer??

Its not another room, its just a wall, which is fully tiled probably for people who would want a shower at that end :D On the other side of the wall ther is nothing, just open space above the stairwell as per my pic in the (FLOORS) section. I think i just liked the idea of the mixer...

Fantasy Idea..New Set of Stairs! [Dissection Added]

Oh right, i dont think i would have too much a problem fitting the staircase it would just be getting the support for it thats going to be the problem. They do spiral ones a small as 1000mm in diameter so should be ok with the size, its supporting it now that will be the issue.

Fantasy Idea..New Set of Stairs! [Dissection Added]

I trust my drawing helped a little. I will take pics of the loft ASAP. I think a visit from a staircase fitter may be in order, save be alot of time measuring up, i wanted a timber staircase anyway to keep in with the character of the rest of the place..im now starting to realise this is going...

I know double posting is a no no in most forums, but i think its worth a chuckle in this case :D Thank you to the kind person above for their help however i have to admit i have made a royal cock up  Bath/Shower mixers are probably a good idea if you can actually put the shower...

    Hansgrohe Bath/Shower Mixer??

Well thats turned out better than i thought :D Am i right in thinking that hansgrohe are a good brand? In the place im in now all the taps etc are hansgrohe and seem rather good to me. As its in the main bathroom and only going to be used by guests really every now and again i wanted...

Hi Guys, So i've moved into a new coverted farm house which very neatly has an ensuite - lovely i hear you cry...although there is no shower in the main bathroom...drama i know. I have a plan which hopefully will not require too much work...can i get a shower/bath mixer. As a new build i...

Fantasy Idea..New Set of Stairs! [Dissection Added]

Ok, well i went back to the house today and took a brief measurement of the floor to ceiling height (from floor to loft hatch) and its a whopping 3m 10cm. Im hoping that this picture makes even a little sense... As expected, the space where ideally the new staircase would go is pretty much in...

    Loft Ladders over 3m...

The loft hatch is pretty small so theres a little more cost as you say to have it opened up. A normal ladder might have to suffice for the moment i think. Im toying with having a set of stairs put in (as per my other post) in time to come. So may aswell save and put it towards that. Thanks...

Fantasy Idea..New Set of Stairs! [Dissection Added]

Im going around tomorrow and will take actual measurements. Thinking about i dont believe it can follow exactly as the one below as its not possible for it to be as long. So it will be a case of it being a slightly steeper and possibly windier staircase as you say to make sure that it enters the...

    Loft Ladders over 3m...

Denso your a star, cheers for that. Im coming up with similar prices but think i might need to use an ordinary ladder for now, as that will be £210 including the required extension piece and then someone will have to come out and fit it, and im unsure as to how much that will cost...hmmmm :?
