My understairs larder conundrum finally with images!

we have decided that since the inside width is 75cm we are just going to slide a fridge in there anyways. That was th eplan if the cupboard was gone and since it'll fit there seems little point to waste time and money attempting to remove it.

Got my new house but what is this in the kitchen?

After 9 months i finally got the keys to my house and so went in today to get lots of pics and detailed measurements. In the corner of the room there is a cube about 12" along all sides with what looks like a flu coming out of the bottom. It feels like brick but I'm not sure what it is. The...

The house i am trying to buy was built in 1955 by the local authority, concrete floor 3 bed semi. In the 10ft square kitchen there are currently 3 doors, a window and this larder cupboard which takes up one corner of the room. We want to remove it so that we can put a fridge there...

Confirmation of regs and a chasing question, vert or horiz

Indeed yes, grew up in Addiscombe but the house is out in Hooley (up the road from the BP Garage before you get to the M23). After looking at my plans some more i have decided to not bother with horizontal chases. It would save me a little cable but would mean more chasing and therefore more...

Confirmation of regs and a chasing question, vert or horiz

Forgive my question. I am confident that i know the answer but would much rather check first. I am about to move into my first house which has a concrete floor down stairs and not enough sockets because of its age (1955 - Council). As far as i have been able to determine from this site and...

    Brown in history books

Since when did he tell RBS to blow £10 billion CASH on ABN Amro? when did he ask Northern Rock to give out 125% mortgages? RBS bought ABN Amro only because they could, they had crazy cash stockpiles and no-one in the financial markets were willing to admit that it couldnt continue. Had they...

    Brown in history books

while i dont want Gordon Brown to make things any worse, and while i dont agree that he should be PM, there are certain things you do not do. One of these things is asking the fire brigade trying to save your house to stop for 6 months while another crew is brought in and allowed to get a...
