Light and power socket to conservatory

I wanted to get some power sockets and light fitting to my conservatory. In the garden was a PIR light which was fed from a socket inside so I have an electric cable to the conservatory. I plan to have a light fitting and a double power socket if possible, I see my garage is wired with a fuse...

    Blocking an external water tap

A very good concise reply, I will check for an isolation valve and I have googled stop ends so it seems straight forward as long as I can turn off supply to garden tap. Our house was built 2007 so I am sure one will be fitted to stop water freezing in the winter. How do I know its 1/2"...

Hello people, I am in the process of building a conservatory but against what will be an internal wall is a water tap for the garden, we plan to get a plumber to install a tap from the front bathroom as we assume this will be the easiest thing to do. But in the mean time is it easy for an...

    DPM first or insulation?

Yes I will now lay the DPM on top of sand then some insulation I got from the builders merchants then pour concrete on top, but I dont really think I need any reinforcement, though I did add some mesh to the strip footings.

    Ready Mix concrete or manual?

I found a company who will do 2cubic metres for £180 + vat but pumping is a lot more, so i will use two wheelbarrows and will be quick so is definitely a cheaper and easier option!

    Ready Mix concrete or manual?

Good replies so far! I called one company who quoted £240 + vat for 2 cubic metres so that should be enough but only half an hour and a pound an hour over that! My wife likes the idea of the pumping concrete but I did not ask about this, so I will call a few mopre for some price estimates...

    Heater for conservatory

Has anyone got tips for heating in a conservatory, prefer not a halogen heater as we have children. Found underfloor heating expensive as its 3m by 4m floor area, may consider a radiator to add if possible.
