Thanks will nip down to B&Q and pick one up. This may sound like a silly questions but lets say the valve was to fail then wouldn't this just cause a build up of water onto the cap maybe resulting in the pipes bursting?

Thanks for the replies guys. My new machine only has a cold feed. Is it OK for me to leave the hot feed in the position it is currently shown as being off and doing nothing else with it? I will then connect the cold to the new machine and turn that back to the on position. Thanks.
