Plasterboarding ceiling - use large or small boards?

To plasterboard a ceiling is it better to use smaller 1800 x 900 sheets or bigger 2400 x 1200 sheets. It will be skimmed over so I should be ok with square edge and using scrim tape on every edge? The previous ceiling was removed so the ceiling joists are exposed.

How much clearance for bath waste and trap?

What does pulled mean in this context? The waste will discharge into a hopper. I could to add a few cm secure the bath feet onto battons - then use an mdf side panel which is height adjustable with its plinth. The bath will be a reinforced straight bath as it will also be used for showering.

How much clearance for bath waste and trap?

There is about 10-11cm clearance under the bath to the floor. So as long as the bath trap can fit in that space then I can get it out through the wall. The pipe will discharge into a hopper.

I had a 4.5m iron gutter replaced with a nice quality black plastic ogee one for £200 which included cleanup. To supply and replace 3 chimney cowels with chimney caps and repair flashing around chimney - £150 - all to a terraced house. Not sure if that is expensive or cheap - just needed it doing.

How can i repair this roof felt from inside

The roof felt is torn in one place and sometimes when its heavy driving rain there is a leak. I tried flash banding but it didn't seem to stick to the felt. Can I use some sort of roof sealant or adhesive with the flash banding or just tape up with gaffer tape?

How much clearance for bath waste and trap?

How much clearance do I need for a bath waste and trap? I really can't have the bath waste and trap lower than the floor as I will have issues with getting the pipe to the outside as there is a first floor roof that I cannot cut into. One possibility is to raise the bath on an inch of wood to...

Outdoor cat 6 cable - put it through the same hole as my power?

I am having an outdoor floodlight fitted and I was wondering whether I could use the same hole in the wall to push through my cat 6 cable which I will use to connect a POE camera. Or are you not supposed to run cat 6 cables next to power cables? So I need a new hole drilling?

Can this loft hatch be moved or made bigger?

The space between the ceiling joists is 30cm so I assume the widest loft ladder I can add is 60cm. My next question is when is the best time to do add loft legs? Now before the ceiling is boarded up ? would having the loft legs up make it hard to lay the insulation? Whats the order? 1) Board...

Can this loft hatch be moved or made bigger?

Can I do the following. I am just worried I may weaken the ceiling joists as I want to put up floor legs and use the attic for light storage. Move the loft hatch to the new opening where joist 2 will be cut. Before joist 2 is cut I need to close the current loft hatch. How many braces should I...

Drywall screws into ceiling - 50mm or 60mm

Well the ceilings have been dropped so they won't be overboarded - what size drywall screws should be sufficient just to attach the plasterboard into the floor joists. Would 40,50, 60mm ? I think 60mm would be overkill?
