For the sake of a couple of quid I would still tape all the joints especially the internal angles because there might be slight movement and it will show up on the joints.

cheers for all your help, i took it to a mechanic who had a quick look and said i might have put too much oil in because the smoke was black and not blue, he advised me to drain the oil and change the oil filter and air filter well ive done it and its still the same the oil is still getting...
