    Cold water in hot. HELP.

Just took bath panel off and maybe the mystery is solved. See pic. There's something in between the hot and cold feed on the bath - and that then goes to a bank at bottom of Bath with 3 feeds. What is it ‍♂️

    Cold water in hot. HELP.

That 0.8litres a min was ground floor toilet sink, the 1st floor bathroom sink was 0.6litres a min, the 2nd floor ensuite sink measures 0.55litres a min.

    Cold water in hot. HELP.

No sorry, with the hot isolated at the boiler. I isolated the kitchen sink cold feed, opened the hot and nothing comes out. I then isolated the hot and cold at the sink to test the other 3 sinks. Again, with hot isolated at the boiler - water still came out the hot supply on the 3 sinks...

    Cold water in hot. HELP.

The shower is the same as the bath. I replaced the thermostatic shower bar with a manual mixer valve with 2 taps. I've took the hot side off the mixer tap whilst cold connected and turned off. No water comes out the hot shower pipework - nor the bath hot tap. I've proved the boiler isolation...

    Cold water in hot. HELP.

Never isolated the bath or shower, as they're separate feeds - so figured impossible to mix. The shower feeds are behind the tiles.

    Cold water in hot. HELP.

I've been having issues with my shower going hot and cold. I was told that maybe one of my mixer taps was passing cold to hot so I tested them and sure enough with the hot supply isolated at the boiler - water came out the hot side on every mixer tap (downstairs loo, bathroom and ensuite.) I...

    Help needed undoing these connections

Thanks everyone, yes I noticed hep2o written on the side. Luckily got the plastic tools from toolstation and after a wrestle - got them off. Thanks

    Help needed undoing these connections

Can someone please help. I don't know how to undo these connections. I thought they were speed fit and you just push a tab at the top,but there doesn't seem to be a tab. The plastic end does spin - but not unscrew.

    Hot/cold water flow differential

Just took some more measurements. 2 bar static pressure. Dynamic pressure 0.8bar with cold tap in Bath fully open @15 litres a min. 0.1bar with bath and another cold tap open. Static pressure at shower 2nd floor loft =1.3bar. Dynamic pressure with shower running 8litres min combined =...

    Hot water flow

I measured 2 bar from the washing machine connection. Is it possible for the plate heat exchanger to block on the mains water side?

    Hot water flow

Does anyone know if my hot water flow should be the same as my cold water? Greenstar 30si combi boiler. Cold fully open at sink = 9/10 litres min Hot fully open at sink = 6 litres a min.

    Adding pressure Worcester 30i combi

When your trying to add water, have someone look outside to see if the PRV is blowing at 1bar. If you can hear the water going in it must be going somewhere. I take it the pressure dial changes when you have the heating on - the pressure rises half bar or something

    Hot/cold water flow differential

He said pressure drop due to the height. He took me up to measure the flow at the shower with the mixer removed... To show me how the flow would be lower, when he measured the same he was surprised himself. I kept on going back to 2 things. 1 - nothing has changed so why is it doing it now. And...

    Hot/cold water flow differential

Yes the flow was at the shower open ended... And yes measured 6l/m. The problem arises when we then open the cold too. The engineer said this drops the pressure/flow just slightly enough for then the boiler to cycle as with the open end, the boiler is just literally ticking over to maintain the...

    Hot/cold water flow differential

Yeah sorry, been in since built. Nothing has changed. The shower hot/cold started maybe 6 months ago. There is one thing, I tried a sprinkler last summer.. And it just wasn't working - spray around 4 ft high. I hadn't tried a sprinkler since maybe moving in 8 years ago - and I was sure it...

    Hot/cold water flow differential

I'm not certain in the sense that it might fluctuate in degrees that is un-noticeable to touch. Definitely the boiler does not cycle the flame on and off whilst running the ground floor tap. Also weirdly, I have the same flow hot and cold with the shower valve open ended on the 2nd floor as I do...

    Hot/cold water flow differential

Done that. It fluctuates hot and cold open ended. Same as the hot tap in the same room.

Also, will fitting a salamander home boost pump get my flow up to 12 litres/min https://www.salamanderpumps.co.uk/product/homeboost/11

    Hot/cold water flow differential

Yes, mdpe into the house. I have a stop tap outside my front door with a 26mm hex head screw head just after it (thinking maybe a filter - which I plan to check). So from the drive into my lounge - the blue pipe comes up straight into my water meter and out of that into 15mm copper pipes. From...

    Hot/cold water flow differential

Hmmm. I rang the water board and was told that's a really really good pressure and flow ☺ Tbh I think the mains flow/pressure has always been like this since I moved in (new house 8 years ago), got the same ensuite shower (the cartridge was replaced on the shower bar). So looking at the boiler -...
