    Life of Combi boiler.

How long can one expect a combi boiler to last, provided it is serviced annually. I have Vaillant 828e and no problems. Only had to change few parts. BGas wants me to upgrade it to condensing type at a cost of £1800. Is it worth it or should i stick with my old one.

What is this under my house kitchen floor. Pics.

Thank you frank. Well no basement😞 neither a wall or cellar. Its just hollow under it and next to it its the suspended floor. Funny enough the solid concrete just sits on soil and I can see some LBC Phospres bricks on the edge. Its 1930's build so wonder if this is how solid floors...

    Is this load bearing wall.

Just an update. Spoken to building engineer. That wall is not a load bearing according to them. They advised to leave that section of wall which is supporting the joist. If i open up the wall half way leaving enough nib,for the joist to sit on it will be fine.
