Thanks Gary. Want to learn how to do a pitch. Secrets behind roof angles and how to get everything up from above wall plate. How about roof for this shed for a start to look like the one on right side. Thanks again.
Outbuilding of that size will need solid foundation. How deep is the hole your friend dug. Is it half/full brick thick or block. Material wise you are looking at around 4-5000£ depending where you buy them from.Price includes Skips.
Do you want cheap and lasting you couple of years or looking...
Land Registry will not just register a land "just like that"(what if the next door neighbour tried to do same as well, getting an L shaped garden). Your case is stronger if you can show you have used the land for a certain number of years. All info is also on Land registry website.
Personal Experience: MOST of the people on these sites are begineers or Numptys. Ask friends and family as suggested and also get the rough idea of what you want done. Then you can compare labour vs cost. You can even provide your own materials to keep costs down.
Personally if you are...
Cover it. My cousin was in same scenario. Other road side neighbour made a fuss, but legally could not do anything. If you have been in house for over a decade, also can put an application to land registry to register it with your deeds.
Thanks guys.
Noseall: Still not perfect like Tony's 😛 though.
Jack: By slope you mean (rear wall a bit higher than front ).I am restricted for height,ie,2.5 metre. I will be using some ferrings to achieve this. My footings are dug atm. I have gone down 800 and 300 wide.

The pebbledashed wall you see under the roof with a black line(next to rainwater downpipe) is actually party wall. The boundary is in the middle as it is solid 9" wall.According to mother the previous owners had a smallish rear extension done around 15-16 years ago.The builder working for...
Good evening. A while ago I asked for advice here, regarding my mother's house who had an issue with the new neighbour's.

thanks john. when you say loads is not going to be great, can you please elaborate. The whole corner of the house will be supported by beams. The rear wall is around 5 metre wide and side wall about 3 metre. i wish to convert loft in future. thanks.
I have now spoken to couple of SE's and they are advising RSJ's to be seated on 2 pillars on either ends with 200mm bearings. One has said that on the top of head it is most likely going to be 2x (6x4) welded together for the rear wall to be removed. My only concern is what happens to the flank...
The pictures are present elevations and proposed. Please advice if anyone has done a similar extension and costing for the beams.I am based in Essex.
Thank you.
