    Hi Guys, thanks for your replies. The shed has an existing 13A double socket supplied via the house consumer unit on a 2.5mm t&e wire armoured cable. I have now seen a 3A switched spur which I can use to supply a light. Thanks for looking. Andy.

    I want to install a light in my shed. Can I take a fused spur from an existing 13amp socket to feed the light? Do you get a 3amp fused spur or are the 3/5/13 amp fuses interchangeable in spur sockets?

    Consumer unit trips out couple of times a day. Electric company say everything on their side is ok & they won't come back. Got a spark in, he checked consumer unit & said nothing slack. He was only away half an hour & it tripped again. I'm at my wits end.

    Torpedo switch for TV

    It's not the power consumption I'm worried about, it's the fire risk. A few years back my mates's hifi went on fire when they were in bed & they were lucky to escape, now with electrics I'm ultra cautious. The power switch on the TV only puts it into standby.
