The worcester would be my prefered choice.....if its only a small flat 24kw will be more than adequate. I have a 3 bed semi and have just put a 24kw combi in, its more than up to the daily shower for me and the missus and the odd bath we have. Good little boiler is the junior too.

Cant see a Sime Format being knackered just yet, just as I cant see a temperature sensor causing the fault you describe. As mentioned a £10 diapragm kit would have sufficed. Might be worth getting someone in who knows what they are doing.

Also bear in mind that the boiler you have is only 24kw It will (roughley) do heat about 10 litres a minute with a 35degrees rise. Check this using a litre jug times for one minute and a thermometer.

Sounds to me like the divertor valve is passing.........when the system is cold (ie radiators cold) run a bath and feel some of the rads, if they get warm (Even slightly) you have your problem.

They did have problems initially but all these have been ironed out now and they are a cracking little boiler for the money. ive been fitting a few recently and have no reported troubles.

That is an overheat thermostat....if the boiler gets too hot then it trips and shuts the pilot out.

What rubbish!!! Vokera remain about the only manufactuer to use quality valves that dont leak. Certainly not on a 4 year old model. The vokera valves remain the same as the ones used for the last 15 years.............I had a spell working for vokera and never had a set of the valves used on the...

I would call 15mm a standard internal mains water pipe, a lot of new builds use 10mm for hot and cold. I wouldnt call compression fitting under a sink which is closed off by a cupboard and out of sight due to varoius cleaning products and washing powers unsightly either.......in fact for a...

You dont mention what combi you have...........a lot of the showers you mention wont work very well unless the combi is fully modulation. Its the first thing to check.

If its the standard efficiency version its most likey to the the flow switch thats at fault..........doddle to change on this boiler.

I use the Sentinal Jetflush 4 machine which is power by quite a collosal Grundfos pump. ve had a play with it in the past and it can generate about 2.5 bar pressure on a average system. There isnt much that it cant shift and i though £800 for it was a pretty good deal.

Im a big fan of the Santon Premier Plus...........great unit and great price too.
