    Plumber came out an balanced all rads, waited half n hour and no difference felt, he then said i need a new pump ??? I have also been told by another plumber type person to fit a thermostatic valve on the supply rad so it diverts the heat when at the desired temp, Whats everyones thoughts on this

    Just about to fit my now painted skirting boards to the wall in the extension, a real wood floor has been laid and walls painted. My problem is as follows, i need to fix these to the wall but due to the fact its not straight i need to apply due pressure to the boards so to minimise the gaps...

    Quick update, Turned the rad thats feeding the new rad off, within 30 minutes or so the new rad was the hottest it's ever been, turned exsisiting rad back on and new rad soon cooled. Is this a balancing problem and if so how does it work.

    Its the experience that i wish to tap into. Can you recommend a good quality adhesive, a good quality sound and dpm underlay or expected quality prices and what volume do you need when glueing, ie do i glue spots in the groove or insert a layer along the groove

    So based on this would you advise the best way is to lay a layer of dpm then float the floor and glue the t&g as opposed to the underneath of the boards. similar to laminate i presume. Have read other posts where people have glued directly to the floor and are having problems
