    Just done this on a conversion to flats it does work however watch when you grind as the sparks tend to get stuck on painted render and PVCu windows the nicely rust about a day later looking pretty awfull as we found out to the plumbers cost

    How do you tell? There may be a problem if I cap them off and stop the flow to another radiator, I have turned the rad off and all the other rads still work in the house. I'm removing the rad from my kitchen to get another base unit in, so I don't really want to be ripping it all out again...
